Wednesday, 3 March 2021 – The state of emergency for the Tokyo Metropolitan area will be extended for about 2 weeks

Good evening from Tokyo under the state of emergency.
Day 55.

As I wrote yesterday, the state of emergency for the Tokyo Metropolitan area will be extended for about 2 weeks. Today, the Prime Minister Suga made his statement about it. Many people thought it would happen and it should do, so naturally it will. To begin with, the number of new infections has not been slowed down.

More importantly, right now in Japan, the biggest problem is the Olympics. Many people do not want the athletes and staff of the Olympics coming from overseas. The entry of tourists to Japan for watching the games is out of the question. According to the tonight’s internet news, if the Olympics is to be held, it might be without spectators from overseas. I think that this time’s Tokyo Olympics should be cancelled. It’s only a big burden and an unwanted festival for us. I knew, everyone knew, the Tokyo Olympics is cursed.

By the way, I took a walk in the neighbourhood this evening. There were peach flowers, Kobushi flowers (kobushi magnolia), Kanhi-zakura cherry blossoms (Taiwan cherry) and Mitsumata flowers (Oriental paperbush). The buds of the cherry blossoms are growing up.

I post here the photos of Kanhi-zakura cherry blossoms.
Have a nice dream. Good night.

Wear a mask and wash your hands.
Stay safe and healthy πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜·πŸ––πŸ––πŸ––πŸ––πŸ––
