Tuesday, 10 August 2021 – A heatwave day

Good evening from Tokyo under the fourth time state of emergency.
Day 30.

Today was a heatwave day. Warnings were given to people to stay home as their lives are in danger if they go outside. In Japan now it’s ‘Obon’ holidays for around this whole week. The Government and local authorities have asked people not to move or travel as the Delta variant virus is spreading. I spent the whole day in an intimate sweet (or cool?) moment with my lovely air conditioner. I watched two films on Amazon. Also tomorrow I want to watch some films on Amazon.

In Hachioji, an inland area of Tokyo, the highest temperature was 39 Β°C today, and in the 23 wards it was between 36 and 37 Β°C. These are the figures from thermometers set up by the Meteorological Agency. But the actual temperature that people felt in the streets probably was much higher than 40 degrees. It will be very hot tomorrow again, but not as hot as today.

I haven’t gone out to take any new photos. I post some photos of Yamabuki flowers from April.
Yamabuki is Kerria japonica or Kerria shrubs (Japanese yellow rose).

Good night. Have a nice dream.

Wear a mask and wash your hands.
Stay safe and healthy πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜·πŸ––πŸ––πŸ––πŸ––πŸ––
