Sunday, 30 May 2021 – I ought to have gone finding some hydrangeas

Good evening from Tokyo under the third time state of emergency.
Day 36.

It was little bit hot and humid today, but still pleasant. However, for walking around it was much hot. In the early evening, just before I went out for a walk, I knew that a sudden storm was coming over Tokyo. It never used to happen before, but in the recent years those rains suddenly start to happen. In the summer, short and heavy rains and thunderstorms, like squalls in the tropics. It can even cause small floods, so the short rainfall like these should not be taken lightly. Some people say that the effects of global warming are causing such things to happen in Tokyo, where it’s not in the tropics. Also today, on Twitter, the weather forcasters were tweeting to be careful. I decided not to go for a walk, but in the end, it never rained around my house and the sky remained blue all the while. I thought I ought to have gone finding some hydrangeas.

Eventually, I stayed at home today, except for going to the nearest convenience store and post box to buy stamps and send my mail. I listened to Schumann. I watched the same French mystery drama as yesterday. It’s a newer drama, ‘Astrid et Raphaëlle’. The story is about 2 women, Astrid and Rafael. Astrid in an autistic and file clerk of the library of the judicial police. Raphaëlle is a very active and caring inspector. They solve mysterious cases. In this drama, sometimes there are some Japanese words and Japanese things. My favourite scenes are in Astrid’s favourite store. It’s a Japanese grocery store owned by a Japanese man called Tanaka-san. Even though it is in Paris, these scenes make the Japanese atmosphere quickly, and Tanaka-san is a typical Japanese nice guy. Very interesting.

Good night. Have a nice dream.

Wear a mask and wash your hands.
Stay safe and healthy 😊😷🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖
