Thursday, 4 November 2021 – I checked the autumn leaves in the Japanese garden

Good evening from Tokyo.
It’s been a long time since I wrote my diary on Instagram last time.

Yesterday was a national holiday in Japan, called Culture Day. The weather was beautiful. I went for a walk in the late afternoon to check the autumn leaves in the Japanese garden of the Buddhist temple. When I saw them about a month ago, the leaves were still quite green. Yesterday, the leaves had begun to turn red. However, as last year, their colours were not beautiful. I think it is the effect of the hot days like midsummer until early October. I want to check the colours of the autumn leaves next week again. They were so beautiful when I saw them a few years ago.

I post photos from 27 November 2017, 8 October 2021 and 3 November 2021. I took all of these in the same Japanese garden.
