Monday, 22 February – The Cat Day in Japan

Good evening from Tokyo under the state of emergency.
Day 46.

Today 22 February is Cat Day in Japan. In Japanese onomatopoeic words, a cat’s meow is ‘nyan-nyan (nian-nian)’ or ‘nya-nya (nia-nia)’, and so on. The sound of a cat’s meow ‘ni’ is same as the sound of the number ‘2 (ni)’ in Japanese. So, the day 22 February was selected as Cat Day in Japan. It’s a pun.
Today I post some Maneki-neko (Beckoning cats) photos here.

Have a nice dream. Good night.

Wear a mask and wash your hands.
Stay safe and healthy ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜ท๐Ÿ––๐Ÿ––๐Ÿ––๐Ÿ––๐Ÿ––
