Wednesday, 24 March 2021 – New infections is still rising, but the Olympic Torch Relay will start tomorrow
Good evening from Tokyo after the second state of emergency was lifted.
Day 3 after the lifting.
The state of emergency for Tokyo has been lifted, however the number of new infections is still rising. The situation in Tokyo has been like this always, but recently in Miyagi prefecture in Tohoku region, the number of new infections has significantly increased, which become to be very serious dimensions.
On a global scale, the number of cases in Japan is much lower than in countries in Europe and USA. However, it can’t expect that many people in Japan will get vaccination before the end of this year. Because it’s too small supply of Corona vaccine. In this situation, the stupid Japanese Government is determined to push the Olympics to go ahead. From tomorrow, the Olympic Torch Relay will start in Fukushima, next to Miyagi Prefecture. There is concern that the Torch Relay will bring and spred infections across the country.
