Monday, 12 July 2021 – The 4th state of emergency has been declared in Tokyo
Good evening from Tokyo under the fourth time state of emergency.
Day 1.
The fourth state of emergency has been declared in Tokyo. This year, there had been fewer days without the state of emergency declaration. So, it’s the normal situation in Tokyo to be in and with the state of emergency. People no longer recognise it as an ’emergency’. Being unnormal became normal daily life. Well, it is a pandemic.
As the vaccination of the elderly has progressed, serious cases of Covid-19 in the elderly have been dramatically decreased. However, younger generation, whom still unvaccinated, replaced the elderly as severe patients. Things are not getting worse, nor getting better. And 10 days later, the Olympics will start. Everything is crazy in here.
I was very busy today. I have to go to bed now. Today’s photo is of the view in front of Ueno station, which I shot on Saturday.
