Day 70.
As I wrote yesterday, today the Japanese Government decided to lift the state of emergency for the Tokyo Metropolitan area those are Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama and Chiba, on 21 March. The daily number of new infections in Tokyo has not decreased as much as had been expected. However, the Japanese Government needs to lift the state of emergency, and get back to the superficial normal situation in order to push through holding the Olympics.
And another new scandal has arisen at the Tokyo Olympics. As I wrote yesterday, Hiroshi Sasaki, the Creative Director responsible for directing the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, has resigned. The reason was that he proposed an idea for a plan to make a jest of the looks of a famous female celebrity. He was a top class TV commercial creator. But as a human, he is disgusting. His successor has not yet been appointed. As I always say, the Tokyo Olympics is cursed.
Well, how about tomorrow’s weather? Tomorrow I’ll have a bit of time, if it’s not even raining, I’d like to check the cherry blossoms in the park.
