Saturday, 11 September 2021 – A bronze statue of Beethoven by Ryumon Yasuda

A bronze statue of Beethoven by Ryumon Yasuda (1891-1965) in Tokyo University of the Arts (Geidai).
This statue was donated by Yorisada Tokugawa.

Yorisada (Raitei), 2nd Marquess of Kishu-Tokugawa (1892-1954)
He was a member of the Tokugawa-Shogun family. (Shogun was a sort of Samurai King)
When Yorisada was young, he was enthusiastic about classical music. He studied musicology in Emmanuel College, Cambridge.
