Thursday, 19 August 2021 – Changing to autumn
Good evening from Tokyo under the fourth time state of emergency.
Day 39.
In the Tokyo metropolitan area, the medical services are collapsing. Many people say this is because of political incompetence. In other words, they say, because of the incompetence of Prime Minister Suga and Tokyo Governor Koike. In some ways this is correct. Tragic stories are told in the news about Corona patients who were unable to be accepted into hospitals. And today it was announced that the famous action star Shin’ichi Chiba (Sonny Chiba) had died of Corona. He was 82 years old and had not been vaccinated. He was a hero when I was a kid.
I post the morning glow photos. It was a hot day today in Tokyo but in the morning and evening there was a cool breeze. I feel that the colours of the sky and the shapes of the clouds are changing to those of autumn.
Wear a mask and wash your hands.
